This project was about food trends and food service / trucks. I wanted to combine the bugs that are widely eaten in Asia with something typically Dutch called 'bitterballen'. I didn't just want to design a packaging as I normally do. I wanted to create a shape. On top of that a striking label with text and explanation that Bitterbugs stands for.
In my design there is room for 4 balls and a sauce tray.
I also made a take away packaging. The woven basket is a reference to a net in which bugs are often caught. With a simple and clear sticker on it.
